It's 12:21 AM. Thanksgiving is over and I am sitting here thinking I have much to be thankful for. The biggest thing I am thankful for is a merciful God. Jehovah God sent His only begotten Son so we could spend eternity with Him. Jesus Christ came to earth, leaving His throne in Glory that I may have life everlasting with Him. He was crucified, took my punishment, took my sins, and paid the price for me. Praise God!
Another wonderful thing happened this week. My 6 year old son accepted Jesus as his Savior! My wife led him to the Lord Tuesday night. He was waiting up for me when I came home from work. Hallelujah!
I am thankful for a wonderful wife, son and daughter. I have been greatly blessed. I am grateful that I live in America. With all of the problems we have, we still have the greatest nation on earth.
I am grateful that throughout the history of this great nation there are those who have put their lives on the line to preserve it. I can't help but believe that we have the best military on the face of this planet. It is an all voluntary force that represents our nation well. I am very thankful for the men, women, and their families that sacrifice their lives in service for our country.
My hope and prayer is that we turn ourselves back to the One who guided our founders. I pray that we turn our lives back to following Him and standing up for the principals and values set forth in the Bible. I praise God that He is in control, and I hold on to that hope and knowledge as we go through these tumultuous times.
Praise God from whom ALL blessings flow!
